The country that gave us music from Björk and Sigur Rós; Iceland now moves forward into film with Astrópía. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, TX was visited by director Gunnar B. Guðmundsson along writers Ottó Geir Borgand and Jóhann Ævar Grímsson who screened their film during Fantastic Fest 2008.

During Fantastic Fest 2008 many filmmakers visited the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, TX. One of the most special among them was legendary Australian director Brian Trenchard-Smith. His 1975 film The Man From Hong Kong was screened as part of the Ozsploitation Retrospective.
