This very special episode of TexasGeek.tv is a slimmed down episode of The MIGHTY SABO...and SON! show. What was a six and half hour show is now a almost four hour show. Way all the fuss? The Internet is a virtual place to communicate and connect. Some times people will not agree with something you have to say. Case in point is Ryan Coons a.k.a. Yellow Hat Guy. Rob Liefeld was the co-creator and artist for Heroes Reborn: Captain America. As a fan of Captain America, Ryan strongly disagreed with Rob in regards Heroes Reborn. After all these years Ryan never got over Rob's artistic vision.
At Chicago Comic-Con '09 this past weekend, Ryan took chance to confront Rob Liefeld. Ryan documented his encounter with Rob on his blog using words, photos, and videos. Ryan's blog post received an amazing number of comments within a short period of time. Many comments are from comic book pros questioning Ryan's actions. Read article and comments.
During the Monday night live audio broadcast of the The MIGHTY SABO...and SON! show, comic book artist Mark Brooks wanted to discuss this recent event. Through the power of the Internet Ryan Coons and Rob Liefeld both called into the show. Unfortunately the show's host, Lee Duhig, had stepped away and while Rob was speaking Ryan was muted. Rob was not looking to confront Ryan but want to tell his side of the story. After Rob parted Ryan was brought to explain what happened. Ryan also stay for the majority of the show.
Webcomic creator Scott Kurtz and former comic book artist Pedram "Pedi" Shohadai also called in. They themselves had words to exchange with each other which finalizes into a classic Kurtz crescendo.
NOTE: Although I have trimmed down the running time of the original episode, all of Rob Liefeld's and Ryan Coons's words remain completely in tacked.
To get straight to Rob & Ryan fast forward to timestamp 00:55 minutes
